I saw Click Cluck Sew’s The Draw String Jersy Skirt post on Friday night, got excited, and cut out 3 skirts for Oldest Daughter before nodding off to dreamland. Super simple. No pattern required. Anybody could sew these. I’m serious. (It helps that I have what some might describe as “too much” fabric laying around, including various knits.)
I got to sewing before the bacon was done digesting Saturday morning and quick fast in a hurry had 3 skirts ready to wear (or rather, for Oldest Daughter to wear) shortly after lunchtime! I was pretty excited because she really was in need of a couple new skirts, what with all of the growing she’s been doing and the way everything seems to be getting shorter and shorter on her… Seriously, I’m sure she was only like 2 ft tall just yesterday.
I think the only thing I did differently was to put in a simple elastic waist, perfect for a little girl’s skirt, in my motherly opinion.
I will definitely be sewing one of these for myself in the very near future. I’m a skirt wearing kind of gal, and I love the comfy knit variety most any day of the week
Kudos to Click Cluck Sew on such a fabulous tutorial! Hey, I just noticed her name is Allison. She spells hers wrong (hehe, I had to say that, I’m a one l kind of gal), but there must be something about that name… Just sayin’.

TOTALLY adorable! wondering if my libby would like one of these….. maybe i should wake her up to show her… so i can get started!
I am inspired to start making my kids clothes again…beautiful skirts.
CUTE! And I'm pretty sure mine is spelled the right way…..at least I'm pretty sure.
Love the coral colored skirt, I might need another one that color! Thanks for sharing, Allison
Hehe, you see, I've always thought that all spelled "all" (like ball, mall, small, etc…) and unless you pronounce your name ALL-ison, then, well, pretty sure mine is spelled right
Oh, well, if we just don't write it down or type it out, then we have the same name, right? (unless you really do pronounce it ALL-ison… hehe)
Thanks for stopping by, and thanks again for the fab tutorial! I will certainly be making more of these for my girls! (I LOVE knits, probably because I really don't love ironing… and with 9 bodies to clothe, well, yeah, I love knits!)
